Ronald Joseph "Butch" Defeo Jr. is an American mass murderer who was convicted of the 1974 murders of his parents and siblings in their 112 Ocean Avenue home in Amityville, Long Island, New York. The case is what inspired the book and movie, The Amityville Horror. Defeo died on March 12, 2021 while serving life in prison.

While opening this, his wife ripped an upper portion on both sides of the envelope, She does not rip through his name on either side, however she does tear a portion of his prison number on the front.The back is torn between the words Green and Haven, despite this Defeo's writing is intact. Hand signed twice, once on each side, Ronnie Defeo.
