James Riva was a loner with no friends who claimed to be a 700 year old vampire. Riva spent his evenings roaming the countryside and was in and out of mental institutions before he was finally convicted of the 1980 murder of his handicapped grandmother in Marshfield, Massachusetts.
Riva shot his grandmother twice and then sucked the blood out of the bullet holes before setting her house on fire in an attempt to cover the murder.4" x 6" color photograph taken in prison.
