Diana Dial used to be a wife, mother, and librarian who believed she was being persecuted by Nazis. Diana was diagnosed as a schizophrenic and her family eventually abandoned her by sending her off to a new home. When Dial believed her new roommate was secretly poisoning her she snapped and killed him. Dial was sentenced to 60 years in prison.


Two page letter from prison.  In part she writes, "Princess Diana is also dead. How many old Diana's do you know? My name was Diana Joyce, so maybe I'll change it to Joyce?  Yes?  No?"
