Daniel Rakowitz was a part time cook and drug dealer who would walk the streets with his pet rooster who cannibalized and murdered his roommate / girlfriend Monika Beerle. Rakowitz dismembered poor Monika storing her bones in a locker Hell's Kitchen. Rakowitz boiled her head and served her remains to the homeless people in Tompkins Square. This is one of those cases you can't help but wonder why there is not more written about this insane psychopath.  Most likely because Rakowitz was found not guilty by reason of insanity and has never stood trial for his crimes.
Extremely reclusive, Rakowitz does not answer much, if any of the mail receives.
