Ronald Joseph "Butch" Defeo Jr. is an American mass murderer who was convicted of the 1974 murders of his parents and siblings in their 112 Ocean Avenue home in Amityville, Long Island, New York.  The case inspired the book and movie, The Amityville Horror. Defeo died on March 12, 2021 while serving life in prison.

One page handwritten letter hand signed at the close, Love, Ronnie or Butch. He's written an interesting PS about his father which reads, "Truthfully Ronnie died on November 13, 1974 He was my father right.

Defeo also inserted a mail rejection form for mail his wife sent him which was refused.Includes the original prison stamped envelope on which his first name is barely hanging on due to the way his wife opened the envelope. The letter is in perfect condition.The envelope is hand signed twice, once on each side, Ronnie Defeo.
