Edward Gein was a grave robber, suspected cannibal, and necrophiliac, and convicted killer who was known as the Plainfield Ghoul and the Butcher of Plainfield.
Around 1995 and before the internet went full swing, a Gein aficionado local to Plainfield, Wisconsin had located where the Gein house used to be on the property. The house was outlined with a ridge of soil which still had some foundation and debris sticking up from it.
This vintage cowbell was among the items recovered on Gein's property more than 25 years ago.
Includes a 4” x 6” photo of the area where this nail was discovered.
